<h2>Project Engineer I / II / III – New Power Generation Construction</h2>Position may be filled at Project Engineer Level I, II, or III based on qualifications and experience <h2>Job Summary</h2>The Project Engineer supports the engineering and construction execution of large‑scale power generation projects within the Generation Electric Projects &amp; Construction organization, with a primary focus on mega projects supporting data center infrastructure. This role is responsible for managing engineering activities across the project life cycle, from conceptual engineering through detailed design, construction support, commissioning, and transition to operations.The Project Engineer applies engineering project management principles to ensure engineered products are safe, constructible, cost‑effective, and aligned with project scope, schedule, and budget objectives. This position works closely with Project Managers, project controls, internal stakeholders, Architect/Engineer (AE) firms, subject matter experts, and contractors to drive engineering quality, mitigate risk, and support overall project success.Candidates will be hired at Project Engineer I, II, or III level depending on experience, technical depth, and leadership capability. <h2>Core <h2>Required Qualifications</h2>Project Engineer I <ul> <li>Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology from an ABET‑accredited university or international equivalent</li></ul> Project Engineer II <ul> <li>Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology from ABET-accredited university or international equivalent</li><li>Minimum 4–7 years of engineering experience in utility, construction, or industrial environments</li></ul> Project Engineer III <ul> <li>Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology from ABET-accredited university or international equivalent</li><li>Minimum 10+ years of engineering experience in utility‑based or power generation environments</li></ul> All Levels <ul> <li>Knowledge of standard computer applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)</li><li>Proficiency in project management principles</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively with diverse internal and external stakeholders</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Ability to work in adverse field conditions, including elevation, weather, and industrial environments</li><li>Ability to travel as required to support project goals</li><li>Valid generating stations or major capital project organizations</li><li>Advanced knowledge of fossil, hydro, and/or renewable power generation systems</li><li>Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or active pursuit</li><li>Expressed interest or demonstrated potential for future project or people leadership roles</li></ul> <h2>Physical Demands</h2>This role requires periodic field presence at construction sites, including exposure to noise, weather, elevated platforms, confined spaces, and industrial environments.
