Precigen

Precigen is a publicly traded (NASDAQ: PGEN) biopharmaceutical company based in Germantown, Maryland that develops gene and cell therapies for difficult-to-treat diseases. It uses adenoviral vector and other precision medicine platforms, and its lead product PAPZIMEOS is an FDA-approved treatment for recurrent respiratory papillomatosis. The company was originally founded as Intrexon Corporation in 1998 and rebranded to Precigen in 2020 after narrowing its focus to human gene therapy.
