Bloom Energy designs and manufactures solid oxide fuel cell systems that generate onsite electricity from natural gas, biogas, or hydrogen. Its "Bloom Energy Server" units serve data centers, manufacturing plants, healthcare facilities, and other commercial and industrial customers across multiple countries. The company also develops hydrogen production and energy storage technology. Founded in 2001 as Ion America Corp., it went public on the NYSE in 2018.
